Honestly, how is it already time for Easter? Before I know it the school year will come to an end and summer will be upon us! (I totally have mixed feelings about this) However, let's not jump to the future and enjoy what's happening today. Well, tomorrow. It's Easter! Easter is the time to dress up a bit more and really signifies the beginning of spring in my mind. It's the moment where we pull out the pastels and the lace and all things spring. I know that Easter Sunday isn't until tomorrow, but I thought that I would go ahead and share what I'll be wearing tomorrow to celebrate the holiday!

I recently got this dress from Forever 21 and I thought that it was the perfect dress for Easter. It's a beautiful light blue shift dress with pretty lace over it, so it's simplistic but still classy and feminine. I rarely find shift dresses that fit my figure, because generally A-line dresses fit me best, so when I found this gorgeous dress, I was so surprised (and happy) when it actually fit me, especially because it was from Forever 21, so it was about $20 dollars.

To go along with this dress, I opted for a simple necklace to go along with the simple dress. While a statement necklace may have been tempting, I think that this necklace from Charming Charlie goes better with this dress. I got it as a Christmas gift from a friend, but I hadn't gotten around to wearing it until recently. It's a gold disc necklace with swirly detailing on the inside, so I felt that it was fitting to go with lace, because in a way, it mimics the lace pattern. It's also not too flashy, so it's more fitting for the occasion.

I was also not sure when it was socially acceptable to break out the sandals, since it has been ranging anywhere from 35 to 70 degrees lately, so the weather has been constantly fluctuating. However, these sandals went really nicely with this dress, so I bit the bullet and wore them anyways. I got these sandals from ASOS (the actual brand was London Rebel) last summer and I love how they go with pretty much anything and can glam up a look. The tan color makes them versatile, but the gems can dress up any outfit.

Easter is also about the only time of the year that I can wear my bunny ears. I got this furry bunny ear headband from Target years ago in the dollar section (aka the best part of Target) and still wear them for the occasion. I originally had a pair of white bunny ears along with these pink ones, but I lost them over the years. While white bunny ears probably would have gone better with this dress, I'll wear this bunny ear headband even if it doesn't go perfectly with it. Anyways, they're cotton candy colors, so I'm really winning, right?

  4. Oh my gosh this dress is SO cute. And it's absolutely perfect for Easter too. I've been seeing quite a few shift dresses pop up on the internet, but I'm absolute rubbish at styling them. I never think I rock them quite the way I'd like. But you definitely do!! Love it.
