On the weekends, it's always great to go out with friends and spend sometime not thinking about school or work, but I often get stuck on figuring out what I want to do when I'm arranging plans with someone. So what activity to do would be better than one that's totally instagrammable? I share some activities that you can do with your friends (or potentially just yourself, since you are your own best friend) that are sooo instagram worthy.

Go pumpkin or apple picking.

What's not to like about the apple orchard or pumpkin patch? There are so many opportunities for cute photos and it's also something that you can have fun doing with your friends.

Go out to brunch.

Okay, let's just be honest, food is the best. There are a ton of great brunch places that you can go to with your friends and indulge of waffles and lattes. Don't forget to snap some pictures of your brunch for the foodies of the world!

Go on a scavenger hunt.

Compile a list of things you need to find and go around your city looking for them. Who knows? Maybe you'll even stumble upon a cute hangout spot while you're at it. First item on the list? A colored wall. Sometimes you just gotta #doitfortheinsta!

Explore your own city.

Even if you live in a small town, there's bound to be someplace that you  haven't visited yet. It might be a cute little secondhand shop or a park hidden behind the buildings. If you live in a bigger city, be a tourist! Check out the spots that tourist appreciate and you'll probably find yourself appreciating them as well.

Have a bake off.

Or you could even just bake something yourself! Gather your friends (or just yourself) and bake different recipes while pretending to be on a cooking competition. Bring out your inner Martha Stewart! Have a judge to taste test it all and declare who the winner is and then instagram the winning dish to make everyone jealous.

Visit a thrift store.

There are so many gems that you can find in a thrift store if you're lucky. However, you can make searching a lot more fun by dragging a friend over. Try on all the things, even the silly things, and basically play dress up. Honestly, who doesn't love playing dress up? It doesn't matter if you're five years old or twenty five years old, it's always fun to dress up and pretend that you're modeling for a fashion show. Who knows? Maybe you'll even find something cute to wear.

DIY day.

Scroll through Pinterest and pick some DIY things to make and have a marathon of crafting. So what if it doesn't look exactly like the picture? You deserve an A plus for effort.

Paint something.

Light a candle, put on some music, and channel out your inner artist. Whether it's oil painting, watercolor, or acrylic, you can make something beautiful. I actually went to a shop with my friends and we all painted mugs and had such a great time with this. Even if you're not artistically gifted, you can still create something beautiful. Try making a print or pattern that you like and then put it on a canvas for your bedroom wall.

  1. These are really great ideas! I especially love the one about the scavenger hunt and the one about the thrift store (I adore thrift stores!)

    1. I don't get a chance to visit thrift stores that often, but I would love to go more often!
