Let me just start by saying that obviously I don't do these things every day. I may have titled this post, "Day in the Life," but that doesn't mean that this is an accurate representation of my life, it's just the tiniest peek inside of it. A few weeks ago, I attended a local event with lots of Christmas festivities. All of the museums in the area had free admission and there were lots of carolers and hot chocolate and other events. Most of the pictures I took were inside of the art museum, as the pictures at night outside turned out pretty dark.

Most of the pictures that I took are from the modern art exhibit in the art museum. Although I personally do not like modern art and prefer impressionism, my local art museum had a pretty large contemporary art exhibit and unfortunately zero impressionism exhibits.

Later in the night, we ended up walking around for ages in the cold weather. There were lots of carolers as well as hot chocolate and hot cider stops where you could stop by for a warm drink. Some of the places that we visited later in the night was the contemporary art museum (which was different than the main art museum and more specialized to modern art), a local radio station where you could take a mini tour of the rooms where they record, and lots of cute shops.

I'm sure that your town has lots of local events to celebrate the Christmas spirit, you just have to find them. Try doing a bit of research to see what your area offers. Even if you don't live in a major city, you're bound to find something interesting and worth attending!
