Recently it has been pretty cold out, despite the fact that we've been having a generally warm winter. For most of the season, there hasn't been much snow (which is a HUGE shock!) but we've recently been having the typical winter weather with snow covered trees and freezing temperatures. Despite the cold, I still ventured out into the snow for outfit pictures, which I think that I deserve some brownie points for. If standing outside in the freezing weather isn't commitment, then I don't know what is.

If I'm completely honest, I don't actually dress like this when it's freezing cold. Yes, this gray peacoat has such a nice look and goes with practically any outfit, but it isn't as warm as I would like it to be. I get cold easily and coats always have my back (pun intended), so I have quite a few coats in order to be prepared for any type of weather. If you want to know what I wear on a super cold day, I did on post on that, which was actually a collaboration!

I'm wearing a navy and white striped peplum top with a white peter pan collar, which adds a bit of glam and some contrast. I like peplum tops, but I rarely ever wear them because sometimes they feel a bit to formal, but I'm on mid-winter break, so I think that I'm allowed to wear whatever I please. This top would work for business casual, but it could also work as dressy.
And when do I ever not rave about my Hunter boots. I think that practically everyone knows that I'm obsessed. The main reason why I like them is because they're waterproof. It's so annoying to have to worry about getting my shoes wet in fear that the water will either ruin my shoes or get my feet wet and uncomfortable. Honestly, one of the worst feelings is when your feet are wet and you have to continue walking around in wet shoes, especially when it's so cold out and the snow will quite literally freeze your feet.
In addition, I also wore a pair of amber gloves, which aren't actually mine, since I somehow lost one of my gloves. This was so disappointing because the gloves that I have are waterproof, touchscreen compatible, and fuzzy on the inside. However, it's freezing out, so I settled for these. If you didn't notice, they don't entirely match this look, and that is because I originally did not plan on wearing them. Once I realized that my hands were absolutely frozen, I had to resort to wearing these.

My favorite thing about when the snow falls is that it settles on the trees. When you look around, it's a winter wonderland, because the trees are covered in soft white snow. This is especially magnificent when driving down a road surrounded by trees. The trees arch around the road and the snow is covering the leaves, which makes for the most beautiful scenery.

I think that it's no secret that I'm a sucker for peter pan collars. I love the way that they accessorize a look. This top could have been a plaid navy and white striped peplum top, but the the collar dresses it up and makes it a bit classier and dressed up.
