A few days ago, I had a snow day, which meant that I had the whole day off to do whatever. In a way, it felt like it was a break off from my life, a moment to take a breather, since I had a few things going on that I was stressing over. So how did I spend my snow day, might you ask? Well, I spent it in the best way possible, a lazy day.

Pajamas and Mug

Up on the list of most essential items for a successful lazy day is cozy pajamas. I've been wearing these penguin printed pajamas, I've had them for ages and I think that they're probably from the Kohl's kids section in extra large. However, they're somehow too big for me, not so much the top, but the pants are definitely a bit baggier than I would like and the elastic waistband was made for someone slightly wider than me. I think that these pajamas are proof that I've never truly grown up entirely, I'm a kid at heart (and in size). Nevertheless, these pajamas are super cozy and cute, since it has an aqua (or cyan?) color with red lining on the sleeves and the collar, with of course the happy little penguins, bundled up in hats, scarves, and earmuffs.

I lit a candle, this one is from Anthropologie, at it has a sweet and fruity scent to it, so it's not an overpowering scent, but a light and fresh one. And even though I planned for it to be a lazy day, I'm a blogger and I'm always at work. I pulled out my blogging notebooks to get some ideas down on paper and also to keep track of everything. This notebook pictured above is from ASOS, but it's by a company called "Ohh Deer." Inside it's just plain lined paper, but I love the pattern on the outside, doodles of pugs in different positions with equally cute names for the positions. There's the head tilt, the frog, the paw tuck, the sympathy vote, and more.

Mug and Socks

Recently I've been into socks for comfort. In the past, I never really wore socks around the house and although I still don't wear them often, I'm now beginning to appreciate wearing them to keep my feet warm. There was a time a few weeks ago when we had some heating issues and I was so thankful for all my cozy socks. I wore this pair of socks with kittens at the toe, that are from Forever 21. (similar) However, they were actually a birthday gift from my friend earlier this month. (Want to see what else I got for my birthday? The video is here!)

A lazy day cannot be complete without proper binge-watching. I'm always looking for new shows to watch, so if you have recommendations, let me know what shows are your absolute favorite, because I would love to know! During the snow day, I rewatched some episodes of The Mysteries of Laura, which I'm pretty sure that not a lot of people watch, but I really like this show and sometimes even watch it with one of my friends, who also happens to like it. If you haven't heard of it, it's basically a detective show, where the main character, Laura, plus the rest of the precinct solves murder cases.

"Hello There" Anthropologie Mug

If you saw my previous post on Mug Appreciation, then this mug will be a little familiar. Snow days are always chilly and hot drinks are a great way to warm up. I made myself some earl grey tea and drank it out of this mug from Anthropologie, which was also a gift from the same friend that gave me the cat socks.

The point was that my snow day was spent with relaxation, just lounging around in my pajamas and enjoying some quality television shows. And even though I'm probably not going to have another snow day for quite a long time, it was definitely a good day. Plus, even if you don't have a snow day, that's okay, because you can make your own lazy day instead.
