It's been absolutely ages since I've done a Best of the Internet! I've definitely been a bit busy lately, so busy that I have been only able to post once a week at times, but I'm still trying to continue to go with two posts, on Wednesday and Saturday. However, since today is Halloween (which if that's not a good enough reason to post a Best of the Internet then I don't know what is) and I had some extra time, I figured, why not?

Don't worry, leaf it to me!

One // Whodunnit? A Clue Themed Dinner Party

I love Clue. It's such a fun game and I love the concept of a murder mystery. But what if you could make the game of Clue come to life? Jennifer did just that. With gorgeous costumes as the characters of clue such as Mr. Green, Miss Scarlet, Miss Peacock, Professor Plum, Colonel Mustard, and more, this 1920s themed dinner party is one that I am totally wishing that I was invited to. Turn a normal game of Clue into a themed gala, with decorations, custom invitations and more. Plus, this post has some killer (pun intended) photos with that 1920s vintage glam.

I love Katy's (hellokatyxo) blog posts and videos, particularly this one. It honestly could not be more true, about the realities of social media and how they create a false life that we don't actually lead. Behind a gorgeous photo may be a not so gorgeous reality. Most people aren't as happy as they appear on social media, which is important to keep in mind, since this can be a serious factor of the fear of missing out.

Three // Dear Small Blogger: Stop Putting Yourself Down

Sometimes we get so caught up in the numbers that we forget what blogging is about. Although we try to avoid the comparison trap, sometimes it's unavoidable. Sometimes we small bloggers feel bad about ourselves since we might not be as popular or successful as another blogger, especially when there are all those super successful bloggers out there. Sophie wrote this fantastic post aimed at small bloggers, assuring us that it's hard to stop putting yourself down for not having the numbers, but numbers aren't really that important.

Four // What to Do for Halloween When You're Not a Kid Anymore

Okay, this may or may not be my own post, but what can I say, it's a good post! It's also perfect for this Halloween Monday. If you still don't have plans for Halloween tonight, you can still make the most of the holiday. I've included some ideas for things that you can do in order to celebrate, even if it's not the typical trick or treating like your five-year old self would want to do. Find something fun to do tonight, don't just make it a normal night, because Halloween is one fantastic holiday that you should be enjoying.

I'll be blunt and say that it's not always easy for me to save money, especially when it comes to pricey (yet soooo instagrammable) things, like fancy lattes, gorgeous stationery, clothes, and more. So how can you be money-conscious, especially while living in the city, where shopping is all around you and the prices are high? Although I don't live in the city, I would someday like to live there, but it's SO pricey. Thankfully, this post has some tips for saving money in the little ways, like with your morning coffee, cable, and transportation, as well as the bigger things, like broker fees and budgeting. Lots of these tips are so simple for integrating into your daily life and easily save you money in the long run!
